The radio shoudl work in an Easy Star just fine. I doubt a 10 Amp speed control will live long though. I think an 18 or 20 Amp control would be better. Fortunately they are not too expensive.

The ElectriFly C-10 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUR94) should work fine for the stock 400 motor and Gunther prop . . the RTF version comes with a Multiplex X-08 (http://www.multiplexusa.com/RC-comp/SpeedControls/X-08.htm). 7 cells right off the charger is around 8.8 amps static.

Thanks Twmaster and aeropal. The C-10 is rated at 12A max. continuous, so I belive it will work. Thanks, Mike

any 10 amp should handle 6 to 7 cells with no problem. For 8 cells I would suggest 12 amp to be sure.
