Time to look into fitting skis, Dave... ;)

I miss snow since I moved to the Seattle area... we get sporadic little dustings, but I don't consider that snow like I had in Maryland... :(

My Multiplex planes would probably do fine landing in snow... no gear...

I'll just keep rubbing it in while I can though :D :p

TLyttle

Just wait, Ad Hoc, Seattle gets a bit of snow, but it is usually all at once, and it is the heavy, sloppy stuff that plain stops traffic for the day.

I believe that "snow' should be considered as foul a 4-letter word as all the other cusswords out there.

Snow belongs on Xmas cards, ice in mixed drinks, and that is as close as I want to get to either...

Didnt get any snow pictures, it melted off by noon......thank God!

I guess its time to boycott the Canadians, after all it was a Canadian Cold front according to the weather man. :D :D

We got nearly an inch of snow last year! But it melted within a few hours, and on the other hand, it only snows here once every 16 years. :(

Good compromise here; 35C+ in the height of summer, -10C in the (6 weeks of) winter, average precip 10". I'm happy...

The Arctic Circle (ahem) isn't the best place for outdoor sports of (almost) any kind! Don't forget the Moose Repellant! :D

The scars from the fire ants chewing on my feet all summer are finally healed- so every locale has its challenges!! Hammock flying sounds like fun, tho! Pass the Margaritas!

DAVE- Palm trees and beaches are just like cornfields- but a bit greener and wetter! Tall corn is much kinder than saltwater and surf landings!

Come to think of it- they ARE Canadian Cold Fronts that bring us the natural disaster we call WINTER! Another unguarded border! :D

Maybe if we put a really BIG fan on our Northern border we can blow all that cold air back to Canada where it belongs.:p :D

I wonder what size outrunner you'd need for a fan that big:confused: :D

Canada, Eh?

It's not cold here, we call it brisk... what is this "cold" you speak of?

Nice and warm here at 0 C (32 for you southerners) - with constant winds. Complete overcast for the past three weeks! It's been snowing for the past couple of days - but it melts soon afterwards... Biking to school with three jackets on is a lot of fun... Guess I'll have to take the bus?

Nothing like living in an area where it's +40 (or 104F) C in the summer and -30 C (-22F) in the winter! (And no, I'm not bull****ting you, those are the ranges, where I live)

Have fun!

Tomorrow it is suppose to be 5 MPH winds and a bit chilly, however yesterday it snowed real hard for about an hour or so. It didn't stick but we have had 40 MPH winds for 3 days. Can't wait to get back in the air. Sims are a good bandaide but........

Aircruiser your not that far away from me........I'm hoping for a mild winter, the kind that has a bunch of 40-50 degree days. Although the other day I did start up my snow blower to see how it ran.....

Lately its just been cloudy, rainy, all blah yuk. Dont we turn clocks back a week from Sunday? that means dark by the time I get home.....another big yuk!

I have waterproofed all my R/Cs for nothing and I'm wishing for LOTS of snow. :D

You guys down south are living the dream! I won't see anything green outside for 6 months! It's either white, gray, or brown. Thats a very limited palette for filming!

Still, I got up in the snow "storm" (no wind) on Wednesday a got some really cool footage. Inadvertent flight into IFR conditons too.
