I thought I would start a thread for information on plans for ducted fan foamies. This could be a good place to share our ideas and our planes.

I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time, but seems like this thread should be under the Foamies Forum.
I stand corrected if not.:o

Thanks :)
I usally screw up something when I cut a kit, so I bought a F-18 Super Hornet Kit from www.6mmflyrc.com (http://www.6mmflyrc.com) that I should be starting next week. Wasted this weekend repairing bathroom tiles (Yuk)
A neat story about the Mig-23. It was "adapted" from Jetset44's F-14 design, and if you do a bit more adapting of the mig-23 design you can build yourself a fair copy of the F-111 Ardvark.
The SU-47 has always been more popular then the X-29 according to the hits on my website. I think it looks a lot nicer too :)
The latest addition to the website is a twin microfan F-22 :) That one is going to be a winter build for me, but I'm going to make it bigger and use two minifans w/mega motors. Hopefully, I can fit in some light mech retracts, too.
Shoot, I almost forgot:
Take a Look at this (http://homepage.mac.com/dbbond/XB-70/PhotoAlbum62.html) :)

Tom,
It would be cool if 6mmflyrc could produce some of the EDF kits on your site. I don't mind cutting out parts but would be happy to pay a fair price for already cut quality parts. The F-35 is calling my name.
Thanks,
Chuck M.

Hi Mac8,
Yes that would be nice, but 6mmFlyRC only has licence to produce Kits for the Jetset44 (Steve S) Kits. Most of Steve's kits can be adapted to EDF without too much trouble, the F-14 Kit is already sized for microfans, I beleive that the JAS-39 Gripen can take them too.
The twin microfan F-22 Plans produce a great flying jet too, that's one of my winter projets :) it runs on two microfans.
For manufactured kits, RBC-Kits produces the HET-RC F-35 Balsa kit that is outstanding , and Oakdale Aircraft makes a Midifan kit of the F-35 too.
The guy who produced the F-35 plans (Mr. Boogie) is currently building a prototype fiberglass F-35 minifan kit that will be mass produced in the future. (Probably as an ARF).
One thing you might want to do is to contact Tim at 6mmflyrc and see if he will cut you a one-off Kit of the F-35. Might cost a bit more, but he may do it if ya ask.
Best Regards and happy flying
