While we're at it, why not highlight the upcoming H9 Showtime 4D .50 size! Haven't seen many threads posted on this one. Should fly as well as its big brother. Like the canopy hatch. Should be an easy conversion without having to whack a hatch in somewhere. Like my Funtana X50 with the SFG's and I'll bet this one flies well with them too. Probably sell my X50 and put the equipment(Himax 5030/390) in this bird. On 6s I'm getting 1450 watts so that should be more than enough for this bird. Can't wait. :D

Got mine in today. Looks like a winner! Landing gear area is nice and solid, just a few drops of CA to make sure and it looks like I'm done there. Looks like they've built in a cooling vent underbelly that just needs the covering removed if you're going electric. Wow!! I'm really impressed with the construction and airfoiled tail feathers. Now if I can get the DX-7 in this week I should have it up in the air by next weekend. Can't wait!:D For a medium sized electric it doesn't get much better. Flight reports to follow...when the Reactor .70 sized comes in I'll do that one too and I can do some comparison flying

That is a nice looking plane , my LHS has one on the shelf I been drooling over the past week :) am thinking about getting it for a winter project.
I may not go electric in it. I do have an evolution .52 that would be perfect for it. ( I do like electric but still love the smell of nitro and the sound of a loud motor lol )
What you going to power yours with?

Brian

Awesome. Are you thinking of doing a build thread?

Already built! Sorry, no time for pics with the Holidays here and all the relatives visiting. They don't like it when you go in the shop and work on models and ignore them. :p Will try to video though. Just waiting on DX-7 to come in. This one has 2 elevator servos and my DX-6 won't handle that unless I go with a Y conn. and a servo reverser I think. Build thread! Nothing to build, just put it together and go fly! Just kidding, it's an ARF anyway so there's not much to the build or mods on this one. Gotta say this looks like a quality plane to have in the hanger. You're doing a review I bet?! Hope everyone has a great holiday season! I know I will....

Assembly thread's about right.;) Hardest thing on this one will be to set up the 2 elevator servos on the new radio. Should be another great flyer. Hope to find out next week. Have a Merry X-mas Big Dawg!

Here's some shots. AUW is 6lbs. 14oz. with 6s2p E-flite 60/CC80. Getting about 1180 watts with the 16 x 8 prop. Going to do some final checks and get her maidened this week. Will try to shoot some vid. soon.

I have the big brother with a AXI 5320, I love this plane. I might have to get the little one. Just for kicks.

Got any video of the big bird in action? Love to see that one too. I've seen one with a Hacker C50 in it, I bet the AXi is more than adequate too.

No video, but yes the Axi is great. I use AXI in all my planes.

Maidened the Showtime today. Got 2 nice flights in. Very stable performer. SFG's do make a difference too. Flew first flight without=good, 2nd flight with SFG's=that's more like it! Tried DX-7 out too. Very responsive, don't know if that's the difference between the AR6000 vs. AR7000 Rx or my imagination. Cowl seemed to work loose in flight and wallow out screw holes making a little unwanted noise. A little CA, some hinge materiel and some rubber washers should fix the problem. Overall a big thumbs up for the Showtime and the DX-7!:D BTW it looks like just line it up on the runway and reduce power till the wheels touch! Will almost land hands free.

Congrats on your successful maiden!!

I was hoping someone would post about this plane. I've already got 2X .40-.60 size 3D plane conversions (Sig Mayhem and Fliton Extra 330) so I don't really need another one right now but I'd like to see what this one can do for a possible future project.

Did you get video of your flight?

No video yet. Kinda hard to do a maiden and shoot at the same time! I'll have to enlist some help on the sticks as no one I know can keep a plane in frame, except me! Not that I'm the world's best cameraman, but I can do a reasonable job. I'll work on that though. Definitely a worthwhile subject. I'm suprised that H9 doesn't have one for advertisement. I'm sure they'll have one soon, probably a glow version. Sure would like to see an electric S50 fly other than my own.

I picked one up last night along with a DX7 . Got it all together late this eve The hardest part for me was the radio, I am use to futaba and this thing is backwards. lol maybe in time I will get the radio menus and programing down. I did manage to get it all set up, even mixing the dual elevator servos. If weather is good I will get a few pics and maiden it tomorrow.

Good luck on the maiden. You'll have fun with it. I think the SFG's really help it track exceptionally. You're about to find out for yourself!

OK the weather here sucks today but the rain did stop long enough for me to maiden the Showtime 50.
this thing flys great! I did 2 flights with it only 2 clicks left aileron and she was tracking perfect. I noticed a big difference in the new DX7 realy feels alot better in controle and smooth. Very suprised how good this thing KEs ... no coupling at all. WOW! and with out the SFGs . I will put them on and try it.

The weather today super sucks. Half of my yard is flooded because we were getting 3/4 inches of rain PER HOUR, and it's been raining since about 1 PM. Half of my yard is under about 6 inches of water...ugh. And I have to drive 20 minutes to school in this garbage...UGH.
