Big family day for us here to Foamy.

Just got back in from taking meals to a retirement home with our church folks. Turkey is cooking in the oven now and we'll be taking it and some other goodies to my Aunts house where there will be about 25 of us enjoying the day together!

Stink I remeber my days in overseas around the holidays too. Best one was in Germany, our first one together as newlyweds, 20 some odd years ago, was spent at Bitburg Air Base. Good times even without all the family around. Worst one had to be Tabuk Saudi Arabia during desert Shield/storm. No trukey that year.:( the MRE's just didn't feel right... We did get a turkey at Christmas though.

Well, I'll join the festivities and wish everyone on the forum a Happy Thanksgiving.

If we're flying, and reading this forum, then I guess we really do have something to be thinkful for. (I meant "thankful", but "thinkful" also applies so I'll let it stand)

Today is also our 21st anniversary. We went out last night to celebrate that and today is just a low-key day. Couple of Cornish game hens into the oven around mid-afternoon.

Only thing wrong at the moment is this record setting "rainiest month in history" November we're having in the Seattle area. A little sun would make those of here really thankful!! ;)

Here's hoping to a little sunshine for both of us... It's still crappy here, was supposed to start clearing up this afternoon but no sign of it yet. I'm still hoping for a good weekend though:D

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving !!!
Note to self: Don't use Blade CX to hover turkey over moms cat next year.

It sounded good in my mind for some reason but when cat grabbed the turkey and ran down the hall dragging the poor CX behind him it went real bad. Found out the the CX will fit through a cat door but the rotors preferred to stay on the inside of the house. :o

Total damage: 1 landing skid, 4 rotors and a cat with frayed nerves watching the sky for more turkey. :D

No video or pics, Didn't think to bring the camera and of course this was not to well thought out. Was surprised to find I had all the parts needed to fix it at home and repairs are completed already. While the CX is ready to go the cat may need a few days to recharge. :o

Whoa..happy belated turkey day guys. Just got back from a LOOOONG road trip. We actually had our combined family dinner at a buffet in a Casino way up in Wisconsin. Good food, no dishes, no mess. I might just have to do that next year again...lol

Mom and Dad treated for the meal as they are leaving the great white north with their 5th wheel to spend the next 4 months in Florida off the gulf of Mexico. !!!! I cant wait till retirement !!!!
