Well-Known "Hobby" Author/Photographer Robert Schleicher has just released a new book called "How to Build and Fly Electric Model Airplanes".
This is a soft-cover 10-1/2" by 8-1/2" coffee-table style book containing 160 pages, hundreds of color photos, 14 chapters like "Mechanicics of model flight", "Batteries-the power for model flight", "Preparing for flight", "Aerobatic, 3D, 4D, and Combat Flying", "Indoor Electric Flight", "Silent Helicoptors", "Flying lessons", etc.
Chapter 12 is "Clubs and Publications".
Chapter 13 ("Sources of Supplies") contains about 200 URLs for suppliers.
Chapter 14 is a short glossary of aviation and electric terms.
I am proud to say that one of the flying sites Bob visited during the making of this book was the Rocky Mountain Electric Flyers' field in Colorado. Our members are shown in several of the photos.
