Please give me some ideas and recomendations on what to do with this thing. I am looking for motor and model suggestions.
Thanks:cool:

Check out ezone with either Dave Morris or wireit. I beleive they are pushing hacker B-20 and razor 2500 on 6s or 5s. They are several caveats like using a heatsink and others. They also have other setups on 3s.

the vasas are very different to the wemos in that they are aggressively pitched thus require either high v and low kv motors or just plain old lower kv motors with high amp ratings.
there is conjecture about the efficiency of both the high kv v low kv approach and higher number of cells v lower capacity and higher wind etc v temp in windings and so on.
either way the energy is converted from electrical input to the fan.
i believe that motocalc has the vasa 55 in it...do you want a spec to use?

I took a look at ezone and saw some neat ideas in the contest section but nothing really grabbed me.
WT, the motocalc and any other info would be great.

dunno why i missed the reply to this vic.
firstly the model....without doubt (i think) the best one for it is the vasa F5 tiger. it is an awesome plane, very scale, sleek, and very fast.
its also built for the vasafan by vasa themselves.
i always go for 3s so i can use the packs in other setups easily, but high v has a slight advantage over high amps.
im not too sure about what motors fit the vasa though...if you do the research on the motors that fit, then i can do the prediction for you to determine kv and amp draw.

I think the Vasa F-5 uses the 65mm fan??????
Randy
Btw I have the same set up as the digger for the Stumax Panther and I'll be running on 4s to start and may try 5s also
Got a spare Razor 2500 if you are interested.

How about the Flying Stryo F-16. I have two microfans sitting here and I was directed to look at it. The Minx comes highly recommended, but you have to build it from plans ( www.traplet.com (http://www.traplet.com) ). The bob e-cat from ejm would work also.
