Did you get a manual? Did any one answer your questions?

To roll the Fus you can tape (clear tape) the outside this helps to prevent cracking.

Hello Chuck,Yes I got the manual with it as well I've been on the site long before I got this plane so I know what I was getting into. Its just that you can read all the things that the manufacture says but it the real guys that we talk to at the field and on the site that can give us(me)the info that I'm looking for.I did read about the tape and I was thinging about maybe cutting grooves or just pressing in some lines, any thoughts on that. Thanks,John

Nice looking plane would this be the one that I saw on the green air site and just what did you do for paint.I can paint but its hard to paint over a dark surface as a white one would be ideal surface to start with. Thanks,John

i mght be able to help here.

use tape...period. forget the grooves.

adhere the packing tape to the backside, then bend...simple....

dont be too aggressive at first though. work it..

but the tape thing works very well. done it many times. i even made up the tail exhausts for the mig with depron...complete circle of about 3 inch diameter with 6mm depron.

Chuck, GAD actually made our ptype mig25 and flew it with gws EDF.

we've flown it using geared pusher also.

here's another pic of another one that we flew.

oh ps, i have extension step by step build pics of the GAD planes if anyone needs them for reference.

standard acrylic...no tricks... painted over a light coat of PVA glue.

base colour sprayed on grey.

That would be great on those step by step build pics, where would you put them. I'd like to insert them on my site. Someone is always asking for some sort of pics.

Thanks,

this is the first flight...test flight...i made a mistake and selected the wrong motor and burnt it out after about 4 minutes...

but this is an unaltered capture of the actual first flight....

i was very surprised at how great it flew....you can see at the end that the motor was already die-ing...hence loss of alt and thrust.

then right click on the video (one for broadband at 11mb and one for dialup at 1.6mb)

and select save as.

I like that SU-27's first test flight. It looks like you know watt_the?/ you are doing. Right out of the box flew great. I think the builder had something to do with that. The video was very good and you kept it in close to see the jet.

Thanks,

Chuck

thanks mate.

actually im no guru builder by any stretch. these things just fly good.

i visited GAD a couple of years back and they had one of their models which wasnt the greatest build at all...kinda not straight etc....and it flew better than fine!

very forgiving indeed. So i guess if you build them half decent they fly great, but the good thing is that if you build them not so good, they still fly darn well thats for sure.

You did an out standing build on both planes. The picture of the SU coming out of your hands frontal short is great.

If only Chuck. My mate built them for me as I am incompetent at building but a dab hand at repairing.Bill
