Has anyone tried the Phase 3 Pitts Bipe??? I just bought one tonight.. Got home & opened the box to start looking at the instruction manual & it is not in English??? I bought it from my LHS and he is now closed till tomorrow!!!
I was wondering if this is the way all Phase 3 kits are or did I get some odd ball???
Any way I have always liked the Pitts & will get it going asap even without the instructions.
Looks like a pretty good kit so far. I will give more info as I go along with the project!!!

I decided now that my Raiden Tech Pitts is finished & my E-flite Ultimate is history, I would start building my Phase 3 Pitts. $34 LHS... (Direct hit full power, from 20' ) Well that is another story!
First thing is the plans are for their Ultimate and you just have to wing it for the Pitts. However they are very similar. There are 2 sets of plans.. one in German & one in English!!! I am going to have to land this on the ground, so I will have to do something about the gear/wheels.
It looks a bit more rugged than the E-flite Ultimate.
I am not going to be able to work every day on it, but I was off today because of the New England snow storm!!! I was looking for something to do other than shovel snow.

I have to get more photos taken, but I just wanted to put some more info up. I will take them later today after dump run ect.
WELL..because the plans show an Ultimate, you have to be careful when they give you a measurement..One place they give you the Pitts measurement..then later they did not and I almost goofed, but it didnot look right so I checked before gluing. The control horns are great however the screws the give do not fit..the heads are too large & do not fit the great brackets!!!
They did a great job with the aileron interconnects!!! I will add photos later of that.
I was going to finish it today & install motor..however if you do not use a gear box you are on your own for an outrunner mount!!! They give you a pattern, but that assumes you have the material available.. So I am at a stand-still for today..got to go to LHS later!!:rolleyes:
I like to use the E-flite outrunner stick mount # EFFM1915. THEY BREAK INSTEAD OF TEARING UP THE PLANE!! But I cannot use it with the HC2816-0890 HIMAX I had planed to use.
I think this plane is going to be stronger than the E-flite Ultimate.
Landing gear is probably going to be the first casualty.
Got to run for now;

Well there's always one thing you can do if there's something in the instructions you just have to know,
