I want to convert my extreme flight mini 3d to electric power, it is approx 22oz without the motor 38.5 in wingspan and 530sq in wingsurface. I figured the weight based on the websites actual flying weight fo gas engine at 2lbs minus the 8 oz motor weight. it should be pretty close! I didn't have a small scale. I want it to have pleanty of power and fly 15 min+ if possible. What would be a good setup for this plane?

A good setup for a 2lb airplane is going to involve 250-300 Watts for 3D performance. For an AXi, you'll want a 2820/10 with about 3000mAh of 3S LiPoly battery.

Moparcolt,
Here is the conversion thread on mine (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1600902/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm). As Matt stated, the 2820/10 and a 3ah pack would do nicely as that is the motor that I used. At the time I had to use two 2100 packs (4.2ah) in Parallel to handle the 35 amp load, but with the new technology and battery improvements, you could easily get away with a smaller pack.

Cheers,
Mike

I am pretty sure I was pushing 10-12 minutes of hard 3D out of it.
