What's the best kit or plan for a almost 3D pattern type plane with good roll coupling for a 400 outrunner?

If you are willing to build, you could take a look at the stevensaero.com G-Ride, or the mountainmodels.com Eva 3D.

The very best plane for kinfe edge that I've flown is not a kit or plan. The Fliton Prodigy (ARF) has exceptional knife edge flight characteristics. On it's second flight I did an inside and outside knife edge circle and a knife edge loop. I had never flown a better looking knife edge loop in my entire life and it was as easy as pie. Can it be flown with a 400 outrunner? I don't know exactly what a 400 outrunner is. I fly mine with a Hacker A20-20L

Best for me so far is the 3DX. It will KE all day long. Not to mention it's superb 3D and pattern flying. One of the best fomies I've ever built/flown.

3DX, yup, one of the few planes I will dare to roll just above ground level without any qualms. :)

The best thing about the 3DX is the fact that I also made the mini 3DX. The only thing I did different is that I used 6mm foam instead of 3mm since I was only going to use this one outside. I teamed it up with the BP12 outrunner from balsa products with a GWS 8x4.3 prop. All I can say about this airplane is Holly crap! And that's a good thing.

The unique thing about it is the tail twist.... the tail kind of lags behind the body on fast rolls. The X-frame planes did away with that, ah, characteristic.

Ditto Mike W...The Prodigy is one of the most stable knife planes I have. The Hyperion 3Delight is also good at it.

im kind of sick of this kind of snobbery, why be so unpleasant, someone was trying to contribute and you've cut them down,so what if they didnt get the question about kits,
foam isnt that bad,ive seen some beutifull scratch builds made from foam, ive built numerous balsa kits, and find that often the investment isnt worth it,if you've got a busy life,i rarely crash these days, but i simply do not have the time to build something could end up as a pile of scrap, why do you think artfs are so popular?if it flies its good as far as im concerned,
real men do fly foam and eat quiche too,
its exactly this kind of nerd-ery that gives us aeromodelles a bad name:mad:

ive been flying electric for over 15 years and aero modeling for 25 years,i fly 3d,f3a,combat indoors, racing planes, and competition i have 9 flying models, which i fly regularly,i also design my own aircraft,i can probably fly better than you.i was just making a point, what do you know about me and so what if you've been doing it since the sixties, you want a medal or something, get real, somone said up yours to a new member, thats why im complaining, if you'd read the above posts you'd have seen that mr know it all.

I was referring to the guy above too. I've seen this happen before where a guy comes in with two posts and knows everything.

Did anyone notice how old this thread was?

Yep Gerald, someone gave it CPR and revived it. Nothing like a clean knife edge flown properly. Mine are generally elliptical...

I've tried and tried to knife edge. I just can't seem to get it down. Man I wish I knew how to use that left stick better.

No sweat. Sometimes the communication gap on the internet is a little wide. If we were out at the field clubhouse we'd be sucking on a beer and laughing about it.:D
