No one has answered you... but I can say I'm sure it's because no one knows what the pitch is on the threads.

I've recently learned that the die needed for the trex balllinks is 2mm
I wish I knew how to delete my posts/threads so I could clean up the database/forum
thanks for the trouble to reply

Pony,
Just checked my links with a pair of calipers. Looks like the size is more like a 1.6 x 0.35 mm. Checked my R30 and those links where 2 x 0.4 mm.
So Rod size that you would be looking for would be about 3/64". That would get you close in the ballpark for threading.

I have a trex 450se and my wires are about 1.3mm+-...I saw the 2mm die advertised and I assumed(Bigmistake) that since that was the only die I saw that it was correct....*sigh*
R30 ?? Is that your heli ? (I'm not experienced with Heli's)
with 1.3mm rods is 0.05118095 inches a correct die size ??

I need to go back and verify the die thread sizes and verify the linakages on the CDE. I could see 1.4 mm thread for the linkages. I will try and get back to you on this in the next 24 hours.
Currently what I am flying is a Trex CDE, jgf-450th, jazz40-16-8, 401/9650.
My other bird is a Raptor 30 or R30.

Ok, after checking with a Machinist handbook and double checking the size of the rod. I am going to say that the thread being used on the Trex is a m1.4 x 0.3 size.
To help clarify. Major Diameter is 0.0551". Threads per inch is about 84.
The thread is classified as a miniature thread. So if you are going to ask around or search for a die. You are looking for a 1.40 UNM (unified miniature) die.
I hope this covers what you need.
