Motor separated

Hey all,
I have Falcon 3D heli I got from hobby lobby. I have about 15-20 flights on it. I was flying it and everything was going well then it shunddered and fell to the ground. :( When I picked it up I noticed that the front of the motor had separated from the main casing. I pushed it back together. I have left this thing setting on my work bench for months and I am now considering repairing it and flying it again.
Questions:
Has anyone had a problem with a motor separating?
Can it be fixed and used again?

It sounds as if the end bell has become unglued from the can - you may be able to simply use some Loctite 638 and glue it back in.

It is probably only a $20 motor so you might be better off tossing it and getting a replacement.

Nitroplanes advertized what I take to be the same 4100Kv motor for $14.95 but they are sold out.

Thanks for the information. It is a brushless motor and I did look at order the same type motor from the spare part list. It has a price of $49.00. I had looked around on the net for a low priced comparible but everything I see runs $39 and up...
I may try the locktite....
