I'm planning to build a circuit which calls for capacitors rated 10nf and 100nf. Haven't been able to find these. Can these nf ratings be changed to mf or pf values? For instance could 100nf be also called .00000mf Hope someone knows watt I mean and can convert these values for me! Thanks!

You should be able to find 10nF and 100nF very easily, they are a common value. 1nF = 1000pF; 1uF = 1000nF. Your 100nF could be stated as 0.1uF etc...

Check MCM electronics and Mouser electronics. You may be able to find the parts there unless your local Radio shack still has some small parts. They are getting out of that business. Hope that helps.

Yes you can readjust the value. As Timm says 100nF is the same as 0.1 uF and 10 nF is 0.01 uF or 10,000 pF. Capacitor values usually are listed in uF or pF.

Thank you everyone for your help! Buying stuff from Mouser, but I couldn't find many listed as nf, but, now I know what to look for! Thanks again!
