Anyone done a scale model of this with ep? I have an old Eagle stick build kit of this plane with a 40" span for rubber or gas freeflight. Really old,I believe it shows plans for adding ignition engine. Don't recall seeing an Ercoupe recently in any form, kit, arf or rf. Looks like it would make an interesting electric conversion. Also have an old Eagle Skybo kit, a freeflite from the mid 40s I think. Jerry

Check this one! It`s a 33% scale Ercoupe kit. I long wanted to buy an Ercoupe electric ARF but my researches gave nothing. Balsa USA sells a gorgeous Gas Ercoupe. I saw the one which won first prize in a scale competition sometime ago. Given the weight of a 33% model (around 35 lbs), I realised it was too much money to invest in electric flying (kit without engine is 899$). I would be the first to buy a 60 inch span electric Ercoupe if it was available.
20 years ago, I owned and flew a 1945 full size Ercoupe 415-C for a couple years. I`ll never forget how easy it was to fly this ailerons/rudders linked control airplane. Her only negative caracteristik was her high sink rate when you cut the throttle, so you quickly learn to keep some throttle on final.

Pat Tritle has plans for a 60" Ercoupe (Speed 400 powered), but you'd have to scratch build it. There is currently a build thread on RCGroups about it, being built by Brian Allen. In that thread, Pat says he is contemplating redesigning it to a 40" model. If you have an interest in a scratch build, you can contact Pat at patscustommodels@aol.com.

JB, I am going to be making copies of the plans and printwood of the kit I have, to furnish to another guy, and copies for myself, if I decide to build later. some of the printwood is missing, but I think its mostly duplicates of the full chord wing ribs. Looks like enough there to duplicate the kit. Don't want to destroy any of the original kit. Any way if you would like full size copies, let me know, I can get very good quality copies of the plan made in the town where my mother lives ,and will be going there soon. I will do it for cost, which so far on other stuff I have had done was very reasonable, maybe $10-$14 including mailing tube and mailing. Jerry
