View Full Version : Maybe a stoopid GY-401 question.

My T-Rex is flying no less than perfect so I'm hesitant to take any chances right now of messing things up. So here is the question:
If I unplug the remote gain lead from the RX will it affect the gyro? Or does the gyro store the last setting? The reason I ask is that I'm moving into forward flight and orientation is the limiting factor right now. I wanted to mount my Curtek lights to have just one more visual cue. The problem is that all 6 ports are filled in my Electron 6 RX. Nowhere to plug the Curteks in to. I've got so many other things going on right now that I don't have time to experiment so I thought I'd ask here. Any solutions are welcome.

You need the Lead plugged in for th egyro to work properly. If you need to plug th ecurteks in why not add a Y lead to one of the channels, you wont be able to switch in flight but you will get power to them.

I considered a "Y" cable (most likely on throttle channel) but was worried it may affect that particular channel. I just finished one project I was working on. Maybe tomorrow I'll make time and do some experimenting with this before beginning the next project. With all the stuff I have going on you'd think I have a life. I really don't........:o

The "Y" cable worked just fine. No glitches at all. Looks cool too with the lights on.

I tried but they flash in a sequence and the camera can't catch them all.
