Has anyone converted their Eflite Ultimate 3D profile to a full flying stab????

I can hover mine but it is a chore to get it to stand on end. I have everything set to max to get as much surface movement as possible while using the HS55s but It still does not want to stand up as quickly or easily as I like.

Try moving the CG back:D

i had one, elevator and rudder were very effective.. yes try to move the cg a bit back

I could move the CG back a bit but it is already too tail heavy for my liking.

You sure you got it to max throw? dont know what radio your flying but it have EPA? if so that on 125? thats how I have my E flite tribute set up, I will say its nothing like my Edge 540 but I can get it up in a hover just takes a little more throttle also to help with it. My father has the Ultimate and I can hover it fine.

My radio is a Hitec Flash 4X. I will check out to see if it has EPA. I have never really checked this stuff out onthe radio since I usually just flew parkflyers nice and gentle like. I have been flying this one for awhile but never rally got into trying to hover etc till last night. I could get it to hover but had to use the wind in my favor to do some of the tricks that I tried.

I quess RFG3 is not the same as trying 3D on a real model. I can do things in RFG3 that wild for my standards. Hovering in G3 is easy maybe too easy.

My bro's got an Ultimate that has plenty of throws built stock. He flies it with a Flash 5 and has the EPAs maxed. It's probably your CG. Get it on back. :)

i have an ultimate just like yours and i run a geared e-flight 370 inrunner and it hariers and hovereslike a champ it's my favorit plane but on the other hand i could use a little more controle movement i run some cheep e-flight micro servos i think there about $14.00.

You're probably talking about E-Flite S75 servos. They come with some super-long servo arms. You should be able to get some good throws with them. Do you have the control rods hooked up all the way out on the servos and all the way in on the control surface horn?
