Is Backyard Hobbies still is business? They may still be selling things, but they certainly don't exist when it comes to service issues! I've had a request for missing parts for a Cicada in with them for going on 3 months.
I started with a phone call, to be told "the parts are there...everybody says that"...a bad start. I told him that I could see and count and started to tell him which parts were missing. He stopped me and told me to send an email and that he'd "take care of it".
5 emails later and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau...still nothing...no parts, no emails, no communication.
I'm stuck with some carbon rods and a sheet of fabric, when I thought I was buying an airplane kit!
It's people like this that gives small RC companies a bad name. They were completely prepared to take customers money, and totally unprepared and unwilling to back up their products.
What kills me is they're still on the net, duping more people, while people like me are expected to simply go away and forget about ever getting a working product. It's frustrating because they obviously have no intention of sending the missing pieces, and simply don't care who they hurt.
Shame on them!
