Help
Does Anyone Know What Usb Hookup Can Be Used With The Blade Transmitter, Training Port And Run The Fms Simulator??
Secondly Does Anyone Have A Better Idea For A Blade Rudder Motor Replacement That Is More Durable Than The Stock Item??
Thanks / Bob

on the tail thing - you can go with a direct-drive setup. My DD parts should be here today. :) If you want I can give you a list of the parts I ordered.

Here's the parts that I ordered.
GWS EDP-50 REPLACEMENT MOTOR (CN12-RXC) $10.50 - http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=1208 - the motor itself.
GWS DRAGONFLY HELICOPTER TAIL ROTOR HOUSING & VERT FIN $2.50 - http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=1277 - not really necessary, but I like the tail better, it looks more "helicoptery." http://static.rcgroups.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif You can use your stock tail mount if you prefer, I think you have to ream it out a little. One thing to be aware of - this mount puts the motor on the other side of the tail, so you have to reverse something - motor wires, or transmitter, whichever.
GWS DRAGONFLY HELICOPTER TAIL ROTOR BLADE FOR DFII (030B) $5.00 - http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=1310 - includes a 4530 prop and the adapter to fit on the EDP-50.
EP4530 PROPELLER 102X76MM $1.00 - http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=541 - spare prop, their picture shows it as orange but I talked to them on the phone and all they actually have is black.
As far as installing it, I haven't done mine yet, but I have heard that the best way to get the old tail mount off the boom is to heat it up using a heat gun. I might try some CA dissolver as well. After that, putting the new tail on should be pretty straightforward.
I'm just curious as to how many flights you got on your Blade before the tail motor went bad?

My stock tail motor is still working fine, I just wanted to try the DD setup. I actually installed it last night and was adjusting things prior to trying it out when I got massively glitched. :( Bent my main shaft, flybar, broke a blade, burned my main motor and snapped the tail rotor housing. I have no idea what caused it - the transmitter was actually in throttle hold, so the full-throttle spool-up was not expected and wasn't caused by the tx. Never even got to TRY the new tail setup. >:(
Gotta get a few more parts today...

I'VE YET TO GET PAST A GOOD HOVER, SO I HAVEN'T HAD ANY REAL FLIGHT TIME. I'M ON MY 3rD TAIL MOTOR NOW, AND WONDERING IF SOMEONE HAS A BETTER REPLACEMENT IN MIND? (I'M ALSO CONSIDERING LIKE RON AND CONVERTING TO A BELT DRIVE.

GWS part #'s for DD tail mod:
EDP-50/H motor (cn12-rxc)
HAS-002 tail fin/motor mount
H001-FD5002030B prop and adapter
EHS-12 heat sink
This setup will work with stock battery or 3S Lipo, best actually with 3S Lipo. Also EHS-300 is a better main motor heat sink than the e-flight peice. Happy flying, Tom
