Hi Army Dad,

Let me know if I can help with your builds. I think I am done with all my modifications on both airplanes. I upgraded the motor on the Viking to an E-Flight 400 with a 3S 1320mAh pack turning a 9/6. It flys great! plenty of control. It balances just forwad of the plan's CG. If you find yours rocks quite a bit, it is probably a tad tail heavy. Radio gear is a bit tight, but not the end of the world. In the Blazer, I have the E-Flight 370 with a 3S 900mAh pack. That seems to work well for it. I did have some problems with the balancing and it took me a few tries to get it right. I fixed the problem by mounting the motor on 1" plastic standoffs. You might want to consider moving the entire fire wall forward and extending the front of the fuse that 1". It would probably look a little better... The Blazer is a joy when it is balanced and will float in the lightest lift. The 370 is much more power than it needs, but with the balancing issue, I'd rather spend the weight in performance. To be honest, the Blazer is a little hard to see with it's color scheme. The Viking, with it's striped under the wing is a bit easier to discern at altitude.

I think you will love both of them. They are easy to build and fly and the equipment for each is affordable. Don't forget to post pictures!

Thanks,

Franny
