I started with GWS Pico Slow Stick F. Found all the mods I could on net and added them to plane(shipping tape, bamboo sticks, etc). Even hit a barb wire fence with it and had it repaired in few min and back flying. It ever looks like a WW1 plane. It is easyer to fly than my Pico Tiger Moth.
