Here's a chance for everone to show off your micro heli.
I'll get it started with a pic of my Hummer/Dragonfly/Homemade, micro.
I really love this thing. On days when mother nature is not being nice I can get my fix sitting on a bar stool in my workshop doing pirouettes, hovering figure eights, and such.

Brian, are you running brushless on the tail as well as the main rotor?

Got it two days ago..........Going with Lipo's as soon as money permits.

Ok, here's my heli fleet.

My Blade CP is pretty stock, except for heat sinks and lots of stickers :)

The other heli is the same BCP (the guts, anyways) inside a Darth Dauphin body with EDF tail unit.

It's too heavy for the stock pack, so I have to wait until I can get a Lipo for it.

Here's my Blade CP. I've had it about a week and a half now. It's modified here and there -

Polk Seeker 6 receiver
Deans micro antenna
direct drive tail (hummingbird kit)
auto-rotation maingear & home-cut custom mainshaft
9T main
TP1320-3S Prolites

It's a lot of fun... I need a lot more practice tho. :)

Tim, how do you like your Trex. Tell us all about it, add ons, performance, etc.. I have a new version sitting on the shelf ready to be built as soon as I figure out all the goodies I want to stuff in her.

watt_the?!

ok the trex, well i like it, kinda.

its a bit on the heavy side for me, but parts are cheap and abundant, it moves well and the latest kits are 3d ready...no bling needed.

of course you can go for bling, but i have a pet hate for it myself.

the trex has suffered in the past of head wobbles, apparently theyve sorted it....ive got the new xl version that has been shortened to take the hub dave tail extension for the darth mil mi24 hind scale gunship....its sitting as yet unbuilt...head is done though and a big improvement over the v1 and v2 heads.

i couldnt even get my v1 to hover without it looking epileptic...emailed align over and over and finally they caved.

the v2s had some issues with the plastic mast being molded with a warp in them- something to do with the cooling of the injection mold.

and so on. the good thing is that align reacted- the bad thing was no recall...i wish.

all in all a v ery nice heli and the choice for 3ders i think.

although we've got another contender coming that i cant wait to tell you about...hush hush.

Tim.

What happened to the last couple of posts on this thread? How could they have disappeared? Something isn't right here. Tim, what's the last post number you see on this thread?

Ya!? Where'd they go?????

Found it. The second page got "renamed" for some reason as "Blade CP thread"

Not yet... I have a Feigao 1208436 sitting around that I'll use when the stock DD tail dies. But even after a year that little EDP-50 keeps going strong.

Yeah, same here. Although I might change it before it dies. I get tired of constantly trimming the tail from the start to end of a flight and a b/l Feigao back there would be much better. I have a Feigao on the mains that I really like, boy, power to spare big time.;)

Or... a HH Gyro... Im sure my tail is losing power... but my GY240 just gives it more juice :D

I know, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of the Rate and put a HH on this heli but I just might.

the corona is not something i would recommend. The FP head makes it harder to fly than a CP heli. The only saving grace is the durability. I think that the trex/X-400 are more practical trainers, they brake more but parts are everywhere and cheap. Also the smaller size means you can usually fly in the yard, more flight time, more learning.

Brian, nice pics. I think the adoption thing may be too hard, a 36 yr old having a 35 yr old son, no one would believe me.(lol)

Here are a few of my choppers. Both are Hornet II Choppers. they are a big pain to get flying right, but when they do they are true 3D machines. On ething I found out, is that they donot like Futaba 401 Gyros. The work very good with a GWS PG 01 ????
