howdy
does anyone know of a way to calculate cg requirements for wings and deltas? or ellipses? or any other odd shapes? does this exist on the net?
i like to try weird designs and took a swept non tapered wing from a wrecked foamy factory bipe and put a gws df in the center but have no idea where it should balance. i want to see it fly right out of my hand the first time, so the cg needs to be right on...
i love this site!!

Paul,

Here is what you need:
http://www.inlandsloperebels.com/Calc/cgcalc.html

Follow the instructions, and you should be ok, but the Bipe aspect will require you to make adjustments to compensate for the 2 wing surfaces that are likely stagerd a bit. Maybe not??? I'm not familar with the plane in question.

Anyway, the link should help get you started.

Paul:
Here's another good one. Deltas and flying wing CGs are between 15 and 20% Everything else between 25 and 30 % Hope this heps.

I've been using these XLS programs (http://h1.ripway.com/cloudyifr/files.htm).
They've been so close I hardly change, unless it's windy.
