I live in Wiesbaden Germany, over the last year or two, I have found myself in an electronics store named Conrad. They have a large R/C section.. so I then got into E-Flight... after beating up the farm field next to my town, I asked the guy's at Conrad where everyone flys.. I have been invited to visit a local Glider club in the neighboring city of Mainz.

They seem to like that I do AV stuff... I might be so daring as to join their club and be the AV guy..

so.. my experimental flights and just fun flights are in Wiesbaden, but my field just might be Mainz.

StinkWeed,
I am located in Wuerzberg. I do the majority of my flying on the old parade field on Leighton Barracks. But sometimes I'll take my slow parkflyer out to the farmers' field right by our house.

I haven't found any clubs near my area at all. But I guess I haven't really looked that hard, either.

What brings you to Deutschland? I am an Army warrant officer.

Well, I have been stationed in Frankfurt, then Kitzingen for the greater portion of the 90s until I got out in 01. 17th Sig and 121 Sig. now I am a contractor in Wiesbaden.

Chief, what are you doing in Wu? I thought all was shut down!! I know the field you mean, been to many a fest there on Leighton.

After seeing your bike on your profile, I thought you were Chief D. my old warrant officer from 121..

I am down that way every other weekend and sometimes I bring my plane and fly next to Harvey Bks..

You are right, Leighton is a ghost town. I think it is going to be turned over before the end of next summer.

Harvey.... is that the one that had the golf course?
We are going to have a hectic summer this year but maybe we can hook for an afternoon fly-in some time.

Larson has the golfcourse.. and a nice road in the middle for a runway.. ID cards still get you in, but there is NOBODY there anymore.. I was just down there and drove my POV into my old motorpool on Larson to take some pics with my son.

Harvey has the airstrip, but it is starting to be populated with weekend full-scales..

little bit of everything.. and alot of experimental stuff.. I like Helis but Im not that good at them yet.. bigtime WingDragon fan.. I like to build stuff to purpose and see if it works.. hours of "What if" at my bench...
