My hangar looks like this:

2 Aero Aces, only 1 flyable right now
1 Picco Z
1 Syma Clever Dragonfly
1 Stormlauncher
1 Foamie B-29 Bomber that won't fly
1 Acro Jet
1 Firebird Scout that I can't fly for some reason
1 Dominator that also won't fly
1 AH F-16

...I think that's it...

So, with a buget of $100 or less, what can I get that will start me with the big guys?

The only plane that comes to mind is the new Hobby Zone Phantom. Complete for $60 and it's 3 channels.

Other then that try to find a used Super Cub or EasyStar package. The only trouble with those planes is that they may have some repairs on them. They are beginners planes and so they take the blunt of a learning curve.

See what you can salvage from the damaged models you have, motors, radio gear and servos etc, then have alook in the Foamies forum for something you like, that would suit your bits and pieces. There are usually plenty of free plans and advice available, plus it could cost you very little.

Then with the money saved, start a fund for what you would really like and can perhaps save for in say 6 months. Spending that $100 now may not get you what you want.

Just a bit of advice to think over.

The Challenger is a good plane and tough as nails with a few modifications. You also might want to consider the Aerobird 3 as this is the plane that hobbyzone is replacing the challenger with.

It won't fly? Why not, Your saying its unstable to fly or not big enough motor or what.

what are you thinking when you say big guys?

It wont fly b/c of broken tail and landing gear issues. When I tried to launch it, it barely got any lift-it dived. I will fix er' up and try again soon. I will post a pic when I upload them.

I mean the not cheap ($100-$250), professional ones. The ones I will regret crashing;)

Don't sweat it on the firebird, mine did the same thing and due to the weak power system, adding the extra weight to fix it did it in, it's actually smart you aren't going in debt on replacement parts for it.

Are good starting points in your area via. the hobby lobby web site. You are going to find these more mainstream planes give you alot more control and can handle a little more wind then the toy's you have been flying. They just feel better in the air, all I can say.
