Anyone flying on of these Precision Aerobatics Katana Mini ARF?
I just went to http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/ and seen one and it looks like a good flying built up plane. if you are flying one what set up are you using? I seen the recommended battery's and all but they show like 4 driffrent ones. what ones really work for this plane?
Just took mine up for the first time this past Sunday here in Warner Robins. AUW is 25oz using a MTM 400F motor I had laying around and
a Cobri gear box 3:8:1 gearing. 35A speed control "you can probably get by with a 25A, but once again I already had the 35A". and a Thunder Power 11.1V 2100mah battery. The only thing I had to change on the plane was to dremel out the opening on the fire wall to get my battery
to slide all the way up into the motor box to get the proper GC. All I can say is that I am very very pleased with how it flew. There are a lot of set
up's you can use with this plane, just depends on how you want to fly.

P.S. Just go over to Atlanta Hobby in Cumming, Cliff has plenty of them in stock.

Hello Every body:
I'm just waiting for my motor so I can finish the airplane; everything else is done. I had originally planned to install an Astro 05 brushless with planetary gear box that I have lying around doing nothing, but upon receiving the airplane decided against it. So it is to be powered by a Hacker A30-16M outrunner on a 3S 2100 mah TP LIPO battery, which should arrive any day now. I will report as soon as I've flown it.

YES !!!
I am lovin mine ! Read the threads on the 'zone since January and did a lot of mods to mine to address several shortcomings of the original release and I have one of the best flying aerobats I have ever owned.
She is a solid honest flyer that tracks like she is on rails and will do ANY stunt in the book !
Moved my pack back to balanc at 88 mm from the LE and inverted flight is hands off.
Once you get everything sorted out it is one of the finest ARFs I have owned, here aer the mods that I and others have performed... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=425809
