The Illinois Valley Remote Control is having their Fun Fly July 7th and 8th at the club field on RT 251 - 3 miles North of Interstate 80 - Peru IL

We are proud to announce that National Champion RC Pilot Jason Noll will be doing his thing both days at noon! Worth the trip to see him fly!!!!!

This is a mixed e-vent so bring what ya got; elec, gas, glow, helis and turbines!!!!

45ft x 300ft Geotextile Runway sited on a 300 x 700 ft grass lawn!!!!

$10 landing fee (includes Sunday Lunch) and we are having raffles and door prizes all weekend long.

Contact any club member for cash raffle tickets - 1st place $150 - 2nd place $100 and the 3rd place drawing gets $50 - tickets are $1 each and 6 for $5
Need not be present to win! Send me a PM if you would like to get a ticket.

We'll be offering lunch both days and overnight camping is available!

Yea, it should be a blast!! I got a Voice Mail from Chuck today but we didn't talk. Sounds like he has been busy. Is Jason going to fly his big Jet?? That would be so cool. I will be comming on Sunday, as you know I have to work on Saturday. Gotta get some shuteye, I want to get up early tomorrow and fly my Funtana and my FJ in the morning, C-ya.

Overnight camping is allowed!!!!! Myself and our club pres. will be staying overnight for security reasons and you would be more than welcome to setup camp and spend the weekend! I even know a guy who would let ya use his shower in the morning!!!!

Working on it with the boss CTD. (Wife) We have a trip scheduled for Monday through Thursday the following week to Missouri. Randy's made it tempting allowing camping there. I'm shooting for Friday-Saturday and coming home Sunday.

There is a State Park in Utica (Starved Rock State Park), but being the weekend after July 4th, it will be very very full.

There are a few private campgrounds in the area, but I have no idea how full they will be, or if reservations are available.

Can't wait to see Jason tear it up on Saturday and Sunday...they are so blessed to have him coming out to the event. I saw his Airliner at SEFF....the thing leaves ya speechless...it is gi-normous and ya can almost hear them starting the in-flight video and handing out the peanuts!!!

Im trying to figure out how to ship the FJ as I have the vert fins permanently attached....I have to fly out and will be getting in on 530P on Friday to be there for thefirst flight on Saturday Morning. I spoke with Randy about the event, too....I cannot believe the prizes in the raffle.

It's a testament to Randy when vendors and distributors are ponying up prizes of those sizes for a relatively 'new' event such as this....

Build to size and fill with peanuts; Haven't EVER had a plane get damage with this kind of box and Fed-Ex should only be around $20

Yea, we have a lot of open land here too. Not as much as by Randy but theres plenty of airspace. The prize closet is impressive!!! Randy has done a awsome job rallying the troops [vendors] so there are some cool prizes! I hope there are some good prizes left on Sunday when I arrive! Hear that guys? Will this be electric glo and whatever else prople bring to fly? Do you know if anybody is bringing any turbines for us to drool over? Oh, BTW I won't be needing the Alpha fan for the Soar Jet. A buddy gave me one, he had it NIB and wasn't using it so I picked it up cheap. It is the three bladed fan unit not the newer 5 blade set up. Could I just upgrade to the 5 blade if I"m not happy with the 3 blade fan?

We're hoping a couple of the St Charles fellas will bring down some turbines but nothing for certain yet!
The Alpha upgrade to 5 blade is like $12 just swap out the rotor dude!

The Fun Fly is a bring what ya got kinda thing, any power system is welcome
