View Full Version : "Twenty"
Has anyone tried Poly Quest's battery "Twenty"?
I just ordered an 11.1/1800. Anyone have any feedback vs. say a Thunder Power or Tanic?
Got it, haven't flown it yet. Tested it on the bench and it has solved my problem of motor cutting out...delivers more amps than TP2100.

I just received two PQ1800XP 3S packs on Friday and got a chance to fly them in my Trex alongside my new TP2100 3S Prolite pack. The TP pack gave me ~11 minutes and the PQ packs ~10 minutes (to be expected due to the capacities). The TP pack was warmer than the PQ at the end of the flight (it ran longer - again, not suprising).
Climbouts seemed better with the PQ packs, but that's entirely subjective.
I didn't take temperature readings this time, but will when I'm out next.
My application is a Trex 450X, Mega 16/15/3 13T, CC35 ESC, 315mm blades. Ambient was 8 Celcius.
I'm really looking for packs that will last for more cycles. My G2 TP2100 3S packs only lasted for ~30 cycles each before they died due to heat stress (50-60 Celcius at the end of the flights, 20-30 Celcius ambient during the summer).
I'm hoping to get a DPR-50 for christmas (if not, I'll buy one) and then will be able to record actual data for a good comparison. By then the packs should have had several flights so that a better comparison can be done.
