Hi Everyone!
I noticed the GWS Corsair is available in both 350 and 400 motor size for the same price. What is the difference between the two?

The difference is weight and power. The 350 is considerably lighter than the 400....usually a good thing. The 400 is heavier and requires a larger battery to make it work well. Many say that the effect of the weight of the 400 and the extra weight of the batteries needed to effectively drive it, ultimately makes it a wash. I would stick with the 350 with 7cell NIMH to begin with. If you're really looking for more performance, you'll have to go brushless and lipo.

i had the 350 in a formosa (stock setup) it went well with a 2 cell 1500 lithium, just more constant power, maybe worth trying this first if you
purchase the corsair.

I have no clue as to whether the power plant supplied with the Corsair is the same as the one used with their Zero.
If it is, then its flight performance will be marginal. I would suggest a B/L set up from the get go. The Himax 2015-4100 geared affair will fit the Corsair just right and can be used with either two or three cell Li-Po pack, and can develop well over 23 oz of thrust.
Check post #24 by Gullwing on the thread linked below. He has an outrunner on his with three cells.

I have had great luck with their 400 motors. They are heavier, but coupled with lipos it makes for perfect balances. And you'll never burn a 400 motor, but you will wear out a 350 with regular usage. Although that might be a great excuse for getting the BL setup you want. ;)
