My question is: How does a plane whose Center of Gravity is incorrect react?

1) How will it react if it is too far forward?

2) How will it react if it is too far back?

3) Does this differ between a pusher prop and a tractor style?

4) Does this differ between a regular wing and a delta?

Thanks
Clean

Forward c.g. Sluggish, glides steeply. Needs a lot of elevator to keep the nose up.
Aft c.g. Will fly nose high. Very active. Many aft c.g. planes fly only once.
The thrust line will more important between a tractor and a pusher, the c.g. for a particular wing-tail configuration will the be the same regardless
The same responses occur in deltas.

Aft CG bad. I have the dead remains of what was once a beautiful Hyperion Spitfire 25e to prove it. The plane was totally uncontrollable with the CG too far back. Like Sparky Paul said - "Many aft c.g. planes fly only once." It was the Spitfire's maiden flight.

So could the problem of Porpiosing be caused by haveing the COG to far aft or too close to the nose?

The swoopy/porpoising is usually plane is noseheavy.
