Optimum Performance Requirements are:Windows XP, Intel Pentium 3.0 GHz (or equivalent) and above processor, 3D video card with 128 MB (or higher) RAM, 1GB RAM.It is also good to have a 2.0 USB port located at the front of the PC for convenience of plugging in the supplied Transmitter every time you use the simulator. For a list of video cards that Knife Edge Software has tested go to www.gpsoftware.com (http://www.gpsoftware.com) Hope this helps.PS if you have a few extra dollars to spend use it on the video card as I think this is the most important part.

Hey Keith; I am not a computer DUDE by any means, but I do recommend that you choose one that is on the list that has been tested and works by the software company.I would recommend either an ATI or NVIDIA made video card. I use a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 with a on board 256MB RAM.I would have liked to get a 500MB RAM card but the top of the line one runs around $600-$800 dollars I think it was !!!!I have heard excellent reports though. I guess you get what you pay for.I hope this helps,ACE999. http://www.knifeedge.com/rfvc_compatibility.php

Here's a good website page from a site that compares video cards.
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050705/vga-charts-pcie-07.html
This is just AGP cards but go back to the main video card page and you can see charts comparing PCI-e as well... expect to spend at least 100 bucks for a decent video card, 200 for a good one and 300+ for cutting edge which I'm sure rf does not need..

have a look at some of the older generation top end cards. the adage you get what you pay for doesnt apply here. you pay for what people want does...as with many things.
people want the top end latest gen cards which are very very good, but most games dont employ all the features the cards include. Many of the features are yet to be used in games.
even the generation 4 nvidia and 9000 series ATI cards will run RFG3 perfectly and look very very nice...heck even the gen 3 cards will do it.
and these are going very cheap if you look around for them.
Tim.
