View Full Version : 450 SE tail jump with throttle

My problem is when I give the bird throttle the tail wants to yaw to the left. Only happens with hard push on the throttle. Is it because of the gyro and/or tail servo. Align rce-500x gyro and crap S75 servo. (Saving up for 401 and 9254) or is it maybe something else. No wag and tail holds nice, just when I give it throttle.

The gyro/servo response may not be fast enough to account for the difference in the speed upon first giving throttle.
When the rotor spins faster, the tail spins faster...if the gyro/servo can't keep up with that, you will have the tail jerk a bit.
Try using governor mode, that might help smooth the throttle transition a bit.

Thats what I thought. Its not too bad, if I give small amount of rudder at the same time it can correct. Just have to deal I guess until I get better gyro and servo. thanks
