What is the best setup for outdoor shockflyer F3A?
My experimental setup is:

2S LYPO 742 or
3S LYPO 1050 ?? ADVICE PLEASE!
PROP :( very confuse...

use the 3 cell with an apc 9x3.8
yeah the 1050s would be ok, if the breeze is up at all, but to really enjoy the plane to the hilt, get some lighter 3s packs like Thunder Power 730 or whatever is the lightest battery that will supply the amps, even kokam 340s and such..Apogee Tanic Kokam etc... probably take a half ounce off the plane easy. Maybe much more.
Makes a BIG difference when it's calmer.
what does it weigh?
try to get it under 7oz.
try hard to get it under 7.5oz.
try REALLY hard to keep it under 8oz
They live longer when light.

Thank for the advice tone, but my hobby shop here in Argentina only have 3s 1050mh (70 grs.) or 2s 730mh (40 grs). My Rx is a Futaba 114 (10grs). I think 1oz=28 grs.
Also the porps availabe are ONLY :GWS : 10x6 , 9x4.7, 9x5, 9x7 and 8x4.3.
What is teh best combination?

Use the 3s 1050 and try all the 9" props and see which one flies it the best. I think the 9x4.7 might be best, maybe.

I agree, 3s on the 9x4.7... I love the 4.7 pitch props for outdoors flying.. they don't quite 3d as well as a 3.8 pitch, but better fun-fly/outdoorsy 3d...
If you usually have a breeze, don't worry about the weigh that much, it will fly better in the wind with a 8oz plane vs a 6oz plane, BUT if you don't usually get wind/breeze and have alot of very calm days, build that sucker light, and you'll be happy... the difference between my 16oz foamies and 6oz foamies in the wind favors the bigger heavy plane, but on calm days, the bigger ones fly like garbage compared to the light ones...
Also, there's nothing wrong with the JETI esc, but if you can get a castle creations phoenix 10, go for it... It will handle more amps, and is probably lighter at the same price/close price... Castle also has excellent warranty/service...

Thank you! here we don´t have "calm days"...a perfect calm day is a 7 to 10 km/h wind: about 3 m/s.... But I must fly outdoors because is very difficult find places to fly indoor. In my living room only fly my hummingbird heli. :)
