I have bought Reflex XTR in order to learn to fly helis, but have only got my old trusted FF4 radio (which connects ok).
I am going to upgrade to a 9X very soon. Is it worth starting to learn to fly on the FF4 or should I just wait a month until I get my 9X??
The FF4 is very sensitive and seems very hard to fly any of the helis.
Could be me of course
Planks are ok
Thanks

I recently got Reflex and fly with a Futaba 9C. All I did was create a model in TX memory called "Reflex" so I would'nt be making any trim changes to an existing model. The only thing I did in TX setup was to reverse some of the channels. I fly with the heli setup in the program. Just to prove to myself that the TX setup isn't really critical I plugged in my Hitec Flash 5. Aside from needing to reverse a few channels it worked fine as well. I'd say go ahead and fly. The new radio will be nicer of course but practice is most important regardless of the TX. If you don't have dual rates I know the latest update for Reflex includes exponential in the program. I'm loving Reflex. We'll see how much it's helped me out tomorrow when I fly my T-Rex again.

good stuff Joe. I have a Quattro here also that i use from time to time and it is fine.
you shouldnt have a problem...i.e. without being a tool about it- it's probably you, but not totally you, if you know what i mean?
Tim.
