Yesterday was a great day to fly, so I went out to the club field and had a great time. I didn't have to work today so I went out again and brought the same plane. For some strange reason, the AR7000 in it wouldn't work today! The LED light would never light up, and it didn't respond. Worked fine yesterday, so I decided to go to the LHS and see if I could get it exchanged or see what they could do for me. The guy that runs the LHS knows me and always goes out of his way for me, so I get all my stuff there.
So, I show up at the LHS, and the lights are out! I peer in the windows, and the place is empty!!!! No warning, no nothing. Poof! Another LHS bites the dust.....

That's too bad Andy... They fall by the wayside way too fast nowadays.
As for the no light. Try rebinding it... Not a fix but I had the same thing happen Saturday, no light, no response, came home rebinded it and it works fine.
Not trusting it mind you as I do not know when or how it lost it and I sure don't want it to happen again, especially while in the air!

You're right Bill. I re-binded it, and now it works. Not sure if I want to fly it though. Makes me lose confidence in it. I'm writing Horizon an email, we'll see if they step up and reply with something helpful.

I called and the guy says "I dunno"?? I could almost hear him shruggin his shoulders...
After conferring with the "other" experts on the desk he says to send it in and they will have it checked out... 2 to 3 week turnaround...
Glad I got another one the other day for the airliner so I put it in the Waco today and sent the old one in... Mine was the AR7000 also...

I think my next purchase will be the 6 channel one...

I had picked up another 7100 to go in the airliner. I am going to run a seperate reciever pack this time too. Should solve whatever caused me to lose the first one.
in retrospect I probably should not have been flying that big a plane on the 6100 anyway...
