Hi all!

I just bought a new Hitec Optic 6 and have a new transmitter battery and charger for sale.

The battery is the stock 600mAh 9.6V Nicad pack. Hitec part number 58207 (Tower price is more than $30) The charger is the standard wall charger that comes with Hitec's radio sets and will charge TX and RX packs.

The battery is compatible with all of the Optic, Laser, Flash, Eclipse, Prism, Focus SS, Neon SS and Lynx FM systems and has one charge cycle on it.

The battery charger is new and unused.

I'd like $12.50 each for these or get both for $25 shipped.

Also have a used Futaba charger. For some reason it has the end cut off for the RX pack. I have not a clue why. The TX charger side for sure works as I have tested it with my old Skysport TX.

$5.00 for this.

Prices exclude postage (other than as noted above).

Prefer a money order as I am angry at PayPal these days. Will accept PayPal if you cannot send a MO.

Thanks for looking. Please forward any questions via PM.

Jim I've never used rechargables in the Lynx FM set I used to have but the Focus III FM I have uses the exact same battery and will go for two weekends of use before needing a charge. The Optic (and other computer radios with Spectra) are very hard on the smallish stock pack so I went with a big NiMH pack in my new Optic 6 w/Spectra. As I mentioned above I could litterally fly all day for two weekends in a row and not need to charge that pack in my Focus III.

Mike where did you find the larger pack for your Optic 6? I am running the stock bat. and I get about an hour of use. I checked the Hitec site and they do not list one for the Optic 6. Thanks......Cliff

Cliff,

I went to www.cheapbatterypacks.com and had them custom build me one. I used the online thing they had to custom order the pack. I chose AA 2300mA NiMH as the cells and the HPI connector. You just need to select the pack configuration like your current battery. The only other thing I had to do, and this is very important, upon arrival of the pack was change the wires around in the plug so it was the correct polarity. Otherwise it just worked. I think the whole sheebang was $27 shipped.
