I guess I will just glass the wing and add a bolt at the front hold down per the posts I have read. Most people seem to be drasticly overpowering this glider, and using it as a cheap intro warmliner. Not what it is designed for:( . Allthough I will probably do the same:D .
The succesful one's just seem to reinforce the @#% out of it and fly the brick. Got to admit it is one nice looking glider for $70 from Raidentech. Guess I will find out in a few days when it get's here. Anyway I generally always change the hardware and modify, my more costly glow and electric 3D planes. Wing breakage was common on my GP giles 202 when it first came out at $299 so more $ does not always = better. Anyone have experiance with this model? I will take the good, bad , and the ugly:rolleyes: .

A friend of mine pass me a omei 2000ep without the prop.and instruction book. can you let me know the prop.size, batteries req'd. and CG. of the plane.

Congradulations on your Omei, sounds like the price was right :) OK the info:

Prop on the Omei measures about 8.5 not sure of pitch there is no mark on it. Another thread I was reading said they had good luck on the stock 550 motor with a Graupner cam 9X5.

CG is 63-65mm back from the leading edge of the wing near the fuselage.
Aileron up 12-15mm down 12-15mm.
Elevator up 8-15mm down 8-15mm.

I am useing 1800mha NiCd 8cell pack not sure battery size, maybe are 2/3 A. I bought the pak off e-bay. Fits the battery tray perfect.
I also will use my KAN-1050 8 cell paks at times. I bought the other pak wanting a little longer run time than I will be able to get from the 1050's.

Well several flights with the Omei now, and it is doing great. The only Mishap was breaking half the stock prop off while flying. Replaced with Graupner Cam and doing even better. This little plane is great fun, climbs are fast, Dives are real fast and look cool. Fly's inverted great but roll rate is lazy. I really like not haveing to wipe the glow slim off after flying it.
