in the site below i found an equation for np that didnt really make sense to me. it said: np (%MAC)=.25+(.25*sqr(sqr(ARw))*VBar.
the site explained what arw and vbar was but what is sqr? what does it measure or what is it used for. (also, what do they mean by %MAC-do they mean the neutral pt as a % of mac. if so, do they mean the % back from the frontmost point of the mac?)

Try this link and let it do the calcs for you. http://adamone.rchomepage.com/cg_calc.htm
I believe the graphic on that page answers your question about %MAC also.

so from what i see on that adamone site...the cg should be 5-15% of MAC in front of the neutral point. but i put in the values for this one plane in the site i posted above and it said that np(%MAC) = 12.25 and ideal cg(%MAC)= something like 6.25. does that mean that the np is 12.25 % of mac behind the mac's frontmost point or what? oh yeah, one more question, on that geistware site, it asks for datum pt from wing root LE. what is a datum pt. oh sorry sorry, but one more, what is a moment...i can see that it has something to do with weight but other than that, i'm clueless.:D
