Thats been around for years, pre brushless and Li Po days. I expect its good on oldie gear and great if up dated. I built one of their SloMoWatts and its been flying for 5 years! You better like sticks and iron on covering!

Tom Hunt knows what he is doing - the whole Stik/Watt range is good. Real men find building these to be a lot more fun than foam RTF's!

Not only a very good looking and well put together model but a great flying machine as well when I used to fly mine two years ago.
I expect it to be just as good today if not better. :D
It attracts flocks of birds at the right time of year. Mine has been flying since 2001. The main problem with them is that they are too easy to repair. I have the 260.

I had one. I flew it on a Speed 400 and some KR600 AE batteries....old technology. It flew alright, but I grew tired of the kind of flying that it was capable of. I like having a rudder and performing the types of manuvers that allows.

Sory to hear of your loss in the hurricane, but glad you're okay.
You won't go wrong with any of Tom Hunt's designs. They all fly well and are well proven. Some folks don't like the building techniques, but they are light and sturdy if you build them as designed. Tom is good with email too if you run into trouble.

HE:D, HE:D, HE:D.
My Graupner Funky Chicken has the same effect on birds. They have a tendency to follow it wherever it goes, and at times some flocks attack it, though when that happens I rev it up and give the attackers a run for their money.
I guess the motor and propeller noise goming after them at WOT is enough to make them run (fly?) for their lives! :D
