Going through some old magazines I found some plans for a Globe swift.
Rubber powered by Earl Stahl.

I built this as a kid and it flew.
Can't say how well, I was only 10 or 11 when I built it.

I doubled them up and formatted to print on standard sized paper.

The wing only showed one half so I made a mirror image and added that as well.

Since they're doubled you'll have to pick your own sizes for wood stock.

Thanks PD1!

I think I'm still a long way off from building a scratch plane, but I like the way this one looks!:)

For y'all's convience, I collected and zipped them up

if I find a nice free pdf publisher I shall endeavor to make that one up as well..

it's just easier to print them out that way y'know..

these plans look really great, and might very well be that low wing trainer I've been looking to build

edit... removed the Zip... it was filled with thumbnails :o

new one is up now

pd1 please send me a copy of GS plans, thanks, Cecil

odd.. I thought I had posted all the drawings in a zip.. it now appears as though my file was too large, I can't post a zip over 600k, and the individual ranges of plans for wings or fuse wont let me get under 1 meg.

so.. cecil.. either enlarge to thumbnails here, then right click on them and save them as is..or, drop me an E-mail, and I can send you the entire lump as a Zip file.. in regular E-mail

Bgnome, I opened the pictures and clicked on the blue box in the lower right corner of the picture.
That enlarged them to the proper size.

Then I right clicked the picture and saved the picture to the desktop.

Then I printed the sheets, they came out the correct size and look fine.
I also sent Cecil a set in the correct size.

If you can get the pdf's to work post them here, it might help others.
Thanks.

Paul

Why did I find this? Now I gotta build this too. I think I may single handedly kill all the balsa trees :(.

Hi

Just found this while looking for plans for a Globe Swift.
Another link with plans that look the same and have the build instructions included.
From Model Airplane News,,, 1947 !
http://www.theplanpage.com/esp.htm

Has anyone built one yet?

Paul, this is bad. You are sorely tempting me to build this one. I keep promising my wife I am going to build her a plane to learn to fly with. Very nice. I guess I answered my own question on what your projects are.:o

WOW Paul, got any more of these old gems around the place? Need to put this one on the list for a foam build... Thanks!!

Hmmm, hows a set of cad drawings sound, 4' wingspan, 33" long fuse? or maybe a 34" ws?
