Falcon models www.falconmodels.uk.com/ have started offering complete radio/ airframe combos using their breeze block Rx/servo system.

I bought the 14" span V tailed Wannabee which came with everything I needed to get it flying for just over £100.

The kit cosnsists of some very nice precision CNC cut thin ply, depron flying surfaces and CF rods for the structural bits.

Building was straightforward with some parts needing slight easing to fit and I got it ready for the air in a day.

Ready to fly with the slightly larger than recommended 140mAh battery it weighs in at just over 25g which gives a wing loading of just over 2 oz/sqft. There is a bit of scope for further weight reduction.

Whilst its not a living room flyer it there is plenty of space room 1 court gym in fact I used about a quarter of it. The model will trundle round in 20' in a left hand circles quite sedately but is less happy to the right tending to dive as the turn starts. As everything is straight I presume this is due to gyroscopic precession (unless anyone knows different).
I haven't tried any aerobatics yet but I dont think 3D is on the cards . Duration should be well in excess of 15 minutes so maybe I could have used the smaller battery

I'm now starting to experiment with a larger wing to slow it down a bit.

A nice little model that fits in a shoe box and I can take to the hall on the back of my bike.

I've just noticed they have come out with a lighter version of the Breeze block that would have saved me a gram or so

I'm not connected with the company in any way other than being a happy customer.
