I busted my motor mount, called Horizon, they dont know when they will get them.

The T-28 is my only airplane right now, and I cant wait any longer to fly!

So for a motor mount pulled off your airplane, or if your local hobby store has one, I will pay $20 to 55423

$30 to have it here by Wednesday 11/21!

thanks a bunch

or you could build your own. Put in a ply firewall, and a spacer of some sort, and viola! something to mount to.

Seems to be a typical problem with Horizon. They bring out a new plane, but spares are not available for months. It took around 6 months for spares for the PZ Spitfire to become freely available here in Oz.

Have you found a motor mount or fabricated one yet? I'm still on the hunt for one for my sons (shattered) t-28... and I'd really like to find a spare for mine before the inevitable....
Did you take a shot at a home built?

Jim

I made a motor mount for mime.

Two pieces of 1/8" clear acrylic sheet cut to the proper size (top and bottom) with a 3/8" piece of 1.5" pvc. Glue them together and drill the necessary holes and you're good to go.

I fabricated motor mounts for the t-28 out of one solid piece of pvc on a computerized router. See them in the watts flyer gallery. search t-28 motor mount.
I hope to test fly it this afternoon. if all goes well, i'll sell them for $20.
