Well I got the bug to build some Electric airplanes. So I was looking around and found the Concord. I saw it on another web site TEAM Daddy and this builder had the plans there so I down loaded them.
Than I went to my favorite copy center Kinko's
I ordered the foam from RCFOAM, man I got good fast service

I like working with depron foam instead of blue fan fold foam.
I have some pictures of it being started and I will have some more pictures of the plane when finished, also I will try for pictures of the maiden flight, don't know about that yet. I still have problems posting them I will try.
I am busy at work putting in OT but I should have it done for the NEW YEAR. :D
The next plane will be the super Bandit I think

Hi Major,

I think you'll have a great time building the Concorde!! It is a twin pusher (Like the Multiplex Boeing Sonic-Liner was) and there are plans in the works to make it a Twin microfan EDF Parkjet. The Plans are also available on my website www.parkjets.com/concorde.html if anyone else wants to take a stab at building her. :)

Hi Major,

When your trying to load the pictures to the Wattflyer site, there is a guide called the "Attachment Key" under the browse your harddrive attachment area, that lists the various image types and maximum file and picture dimention sizes.

Any picture larger than the maximum allowable sizes cannot be uploaded.

http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/images/attach/jpeg.gif jpg 97.7 KB 1200 1000

for instance a JPG cannot be larger than 97.9 KB or have dimensions larger than 1200 X 1000 Pixels. This is done so that the pictures fit inside the Forums page frame, so you do not end up with the "Bottom Scroll bar" and have to scroll your window back and forth to read the webpage.

You will have to edit your picture, so it fits inside the parameters set by the forum for posting, so we can see your picture. There are several photo editor programs available to do this. Just remember to save your new picture under a different filename so you do not loose the original image. Then just upload the new image to the Wattflyer forum.

My favorite picture Editor (Free One Too :D ) is IrfanView http://www.irfanview.com/ It's very easy to re-size to re-sample your pictures, using the program.

Best of luck, and let me know if you have anymore problems.

Yes do keep it up. It's nice to see so much scratch building here. This is the magic of the hobby. You have a dream and you build it bringing to life. This for me is what the hobby is all about. It's the passion part.

I like to sometimes build kits like everyone else. But it's this kind of thing that will give you the greatest satisfaction.

Thanks for the good words :)

This is the first time I have sat down and scratch built something in over 5 years.
I have been my clubs Chief Flight Instructor for to long so I forgot what is was like to build a neat project is like this .
I still love to teach flying but not at this time, I am back in the building
mode. :)
I got about 4 projects on the planing board. :D
I think I might do a Concord say double this size of course electric powered

Over on RCG there is a thread about Chris Golds 1600W. Concorde It's not very long, and there are no plans, but his jet was 104" long and has a 44" wingspan and weighs about 12 lbs.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=400677

There are a few nice pictures of her too.

A few guys are working on a twin microfan version too.

The wheels are turning.

If I double the size, 51 inches , It would be 102 inches long and the wingspan being 24 inches would be 48 as for weight I not sure on that yet.
Better finish the little one first

Still sanding, I got to get the motors installed.

I will also try to install landing gear.
This snow and cold weather is a pain :(

Can't wait to try it, but this lousy weather puts a stop to everything
I even have my own private rc field
