I've built three 3DFoamy kits so far, and this F14 looks like good candidate for a 4th, wonder when they'll do one based around and EDF power plant though...

Hi Norsehammer,

The nice thing about the F-14 Kit it is already sized for twin microfans :D There is a thread over on RC Groups that discusses the EDF Conversion.

Here is a video of the F-14 Twin EDF flying

I have a F-14 webpage set up on my website that has a list of everything that you need to build one of these baby's http://www.parkjets.com/f14-tomcat.html

Hi Steve, Yes this is definetly one of Steve Shumate's best designs, although the new Super Bandit is running a close second :) If you have a couple of Microfans looking for a home, you could do a lot worse than this jet :)

I hope all is well with you and yours!!

Tom I did see the videos of it flying with the two micros. Really nice. But I'm one short. too much tied up in that 90 mm stuff but one day. I miss building something fun like this. The swing wings are the real killer though. Just love those.

Same back at you tom.

Hi Steve,

A lot of the guys over on RCG are building F-14's from the enlarged plans that LBMiller5 is selling. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=434244 You might want to check that out, and match a size to your Fan/motor availability.
