OK well I got another G.A.D. airplane got the SU-27 which I'm hoping to start soon but came across this one(F-14) from a guy that didn't think he'd have time to build it.Looks straight foward but as with the other plane F-14/SU-27 they come in gray depron and I think its a shame that they do because would it not be easier to paint the white than the gray and using less paint?I'm still in the learning curve as I just got doing the electric planes little over a year.I've been doing the large scale gas ones and weight was not a big problem.I am having a ball doing them and trying new ways to scale and keep lite at the same time.I found that detailing though paint is the easest way as well as lite.Anyone got any suggestions for this plane,Keeping weight down?Colours?the build?any and all help is great. Thanks,John

JOHN.
I've got a G.A.D. F-14 swingwing as well, but at the moment it is NIB awaiting attention until I have finished the other models in the line up.

Happy to keep in touch . Have you contacted Tim,? he has his finished but I don't know whether he has flown yet.

Thanks JohnVH nice looking plane and I have the plans for that one.Oldpilot what are you going to do as motor and battery for the plane I'm going to use a mega motor and 2100/3 cell lipo for this one.I think there is about 6 oz's between 3DFoamy and Green air as 3D is lighter but not as strong I think.Still wondering why gray instead of white depron maybe cost, who knows but it should keep me on my toe's.

I think Green Air Uses Grey Depron on all of there kits.

3D Foamy's F-14 is available as a Kit now, and it's convertable to twin microfan EDF's.

i ended up ditching the mega for mine and looking at something to swing a larger prop...like the jgf 450 series with medium speed bell.

im not too concerned about top end speed, so ive taken a leaf from the parkfly designs and gone for more thrust.. its sitting here awaiting that implant when i get the time.

the kgf is alot lighter than the mega so eliminates the need for as much nose weight also. that was the other reason.

What about a "Little Screamer" outrunner. North East Sailplanes are now using these on their Street fighters.

ill buy them if they are the same as OS prices (or close), and can do 20 oz thrust at 22A.
have you got a link?
