Hi, I've got a honey bee cp2 on order, and I'm trying to do a bit of research before it gets here, I get too excited and try to fly it right away and crash it

I read in some older threads that you needed an unmixer to get the CCPM transmitter that comes with the HBCP2 to work with most simulators

However I stumbled upon this page
http://www.radio-controlled-toys.com/honeybee_CP2_fms_flightsim_setup.htm (http://www.radio-controlled-toys.com/honeybee_CP2_fms_flightsim_setup.htm)

that makes it look like it's possible without extra hardware (http://www.rcuniverse.com/buynow/keywordclick.cfm?bid_id=991)?

so what's the story? Can anyone confirm that this works?

thanks!

Hi Chris, since I read your other posts and know you now have your CP2 I was wondering whether you had tried the method described at the link you posted? I too would like to use my transmitter to control FMS but dont have the cable yet. Have you tried it? Does it work as described?

no it doesn't really work. it sounds as though you need the adapter from milehighwings.com

Would this work with FMS & Clearview?

I am a newbie to RC heli's and just got the Honey Bee King 2 yesterday. Came with the fright sim and when I tried it I found out that the ccmp does cause a problem. I fixed it by doing the following.

There are 2 switches located in the back of the TX behind the third battery from the right. one is on and the other off. I reversed these and it fixed the problem. I believe that it changes the TX from 6CH to 4CH and turns off the ccpm. Just make sure you SWITCH THEM BACK BEFORE FLIGHT otherwise the heli will not have ccpm enabled and will not go where you want it.

(Found this out from someone else who did the same, so it should work for everyone with a Honey Bee King 2)

Hope this works for you.:)

I have a ESKY Honey Bee King 2 and I got the FMS simulator. I bought the cable off of EBAY for like $8.00 and It took a little figuring out but I got it to work with my ESKY 6Channel Controller. First off you have to get the cable that connects the controller to USB. Then once you go into the control settings for FMS and choose ANALOG CONTROL. Then choose JOYSTICK INTERFACE. Then click MAPPING CALIBRATION and reassign the controls
from top to bottom it should be in this order(4-2-1-3-4-2-1-3). The only thing I found you need to do on the controller is on the four swithches on the front bottom swithch the one that says THR to th REV position and thats it. Calibrate it and your ready to go!!

If anyone cant figure it out let me know I'll help you out.

If you have the E-Sky 0406A transmitter you need to change the settings on the DIP switches on the back of the radio.

Remove the third battery and there will be an access hole. There will be two switches under there. Change both to disable CCPM and allow it to be compatible with the sim software.
