Including their electric EDFs!
Big 90mm stuff, beautiful!
I'm thinking about the F9F Cougar myself!
Bruce

P.S. I am not affilliated with them. Just saw this over at the "other" forums.

I've been waiting to hear this news forever. Now if I can just come up with $1069 for the Airworld ME-262 (the ultimate if I could just have one plane, plane). If S&B ever gets a US distributor, $200 for their 262 won't seem that steep.

Theres more info about the company on rcuniverse in the jets forum.
They are expensive but I'd like to own/fly at least one big EDF in my lifetime! kinda like wanting a ferrari but always buying a ford!lol

I'm waiting to see more pics/info on the C-121. To me the "Connie" is the most beautiful airplane ever built!

From the one Connie pic they have posted the nose looks too short though. That's the same problem with the EAM C-130 that I want so badly. The nose looks like it's already been crashed and flattened out! Once they get that right I'll order one. The Connie is twice the price of the C-130 but if the nose is right it may be worth it.

It is amazing that some companies can be so far off in scale proportions. Kind of like the CMM (GSP) FW-190. I always wanted one for e-conv, but there are a few proportions that are miles off.

Here is a shot of what I'm talking about. The rest of the plane looks great. The nose is not so great. I worked on EC-130Q's in the Navy and want a kit bad. While the GWS 130 has a more scale looking nose I'm just not into GWS. I hate IPS sized motors too.

You're right, that nose is AWFUL!
It would be nice if AW comes out with one, all their stuff looks scale.
Can't really imagine the price for a 4 engine job however......$$$$$ !!!!!

That looks terrible! You weren't kidding. The IPS would be good if you used 4 Feigos at $35 a pop, but the brushed burn out quickly, even if not overran. I have accumulated some 7.2v IPS motors. I bought a GWS IPS geared setup for a Fokker Triplane Guillows attempt. The motors have a high initial failure rate. The motor that came with it lasted about 30 sec on 7.2V. Replaced it with another one and it is fine, but not the first time an IPS brushed failed immediately on me. Multiply that by 4, and figure out the reliability? The more I think about it, the 180 DD is a much stronger and more powerful motor, and not much heavier or larger. I've powered a 20" FlyZone ME-109 and a 32" FSK high winger, both with amazing DD power on 5030 prop. I would rather see that used.

Joe, I looked thru the site and could not find the C-121 anywhere.
So I'd say they don't make the Connie...was it in the background in one of the customers pictures?

It's under the "electric" heading. HERE (http://www.airworld-usa.com/constellation.htm) is the direct link to the Connie.

Doh!(homer simpson);) Thanks! Pardon my confusion!
Was thinking the smashed nose pic you posted earlier was the Connie but it was a Hercules or something, correct? (please excuse my ignorance)
Their website seems to indicate they proudly make only scale aircraft,
The nose in the one of the 2 Connie pics looks pretty good.....
Happy Holidays!

I guess I should have been more clear about the 130 being from another vendor. Nothing like adding a little confusion huh. ;) That was my fault.

It may just be the angle its shot at but in the picture of the Connie model the nose seems to be way to short forward of the cockpit. Look at the picture of the real plane for what I mean. It's probably not a big deal to most people but enough to bug me. For almost $500.00 for the kit I'm going to want it to be right. To their credit they are still working on the site and don't have all of the info loaded yet. Maybe more pictures will prove me wrong. I hope so!

The owner/manager? John Christensen posted on the "other" forums that they are presently putting up drywall and partitions for the store and to give him 2-4 weeks so he can get more kits & display units before I check out the showroom!:)
The store will be located somewhere between my house and work. sweet!
