Here is the aftermath form m lynx crash. There was a good 75-100 feet between the motor and battery. An addtional 50 from the biggest piece of foam to the motor.
I had to go get a plastic bag to place all the parts in.

I was able to retreive all the electronics. As for the foam, nope I planted a foam tree at Hodges. We will see if it grows.
Here is a link to the lynx. I do not use the edf unit or thw color scheme they have.
It all happened so fast. It was pilot error, but I do not know why. I might have rolled it into the groudn as I was pulling up to avoid a heli. At 117mph, everything happens so fast.

Dang 117mph, wow thats fast! How many rpms does your motor put out? That thing must scream very nice. Too bad it crashed. We'll see if that tree grows.

The fastest we got the plane to go was 131. I am building another as we speak. I am expecting this one to be faster and lighter.
The motor KV is 2700 for one of them, The other motor I tried was 3200KV

Wow those motors are nice! Well good luck on your next build, now you'll know what to expect. Get some vid too if you can.

Learn??? Heheheh. THat was my 3rd. They fly great, I just get stupid. The last 2 I was rolling down the field about 100mph and full aileron, stopped the roll, pulled back. WHAM! IT was impressive.
I love these planes. As long as HL continues to put them on sale for $25 I will buy and crash them all day long

LOL i get really stupid too. But i cant afford to crash at the moment so i have been gettign lots of patience practice. Do you ever buzz the ground 1ft off of it inverted that would be somethin.

I always buzz the ground, but never inverted.
