Hi all , Just to let you know there is a new 3-D Foamy on the market designed and manufactoried by Scott Anderson, The owner of Performance Model Aviation (http://www.rcfoamy.com/). The name of the model is AKRO-3D, We took 2 of these planes to the Pro Bro event in Cookville and had a ball with it, The winds were a little stiff but the plane handled them VERY well, This plane does 3-D very good and is a breeze to Fly, we used a himax 2812-0850 on one and on the other we used a AXI 2812/26 on 1600 3s lipos with a 11x4.7 apc prop, both motors had plenty of power to spare, planes weigh in about 14 ozs ready to fly.and they are made from 6 mil depron, planes come with all hardware and carbon , you can contact Scott at rcfoamy.comhttp://www.rcfoamy.com/scott71805/greenacro.jpg

Isn't that a little heavy? I made a shockflyer knock off for under 10oz RTF with Blue Core?

This plane has a 36" wing span and a 31" fuse, with all the carbon that's put into the build it's very compatable to others of this size, plus the great thing is it handles the outdoors (wind) very well.

Hi Dennye,

Thanks for the input on the plane.. The plane prototype was flown at SEFF even with the smaller fuse, Josh Glavin from Team HiTec flew it on Saturday in 20+ mph wind doing rolling circles and others and it was one of the few "foamy" planes that would handle the wind. Josh gave some input and now we have made the fuse to the 31" lenght.. The other motor that is being used is the AXI 2212/26 and same prop and has great punch out..

The web site is going thru a new look soon and I will carring alot of diffrent supplies..

If you have any questions feel free to contact me a scott@rcfoamy.com

The Testors That was used was thinned with water..
