anyone still flying the pic? I have a cp with a metal swash and pitch slider. I am using the stock 400 moter and want to know what sort of amps I should be pulling at full throtle and pitch ( +- 10 deg) I am getting 4.5amps right now.

Not to sure what amps you should be seeing. are you experiencing a problem?

no power and it won't lift off and seems to have low power. It used to fly well with the stock parts and a +8 -4 setting. I have now upgraded the machine and am in the process of setting it up for 3D with a +10-10 pitch range. It is possible that I am short on RPM as I am having trouble reading it here in the house. My tach keeps reading 3600-3700 static and I have the flourecents turned off. not sure what is going there. any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure as I've never tested the current draw on any of my stuff, but I would think 4.5 amps would be a bit low if that's what it's drawing at full throttle and full pitch.

I think it should be drawing more like 10-15 amps since the speed 400 planes I have/had siad they required 15 or 20 amp ESC's.

If the motor has been used a lot, I would try replacing it, it's probably worn out.

I was wondering if you had this heli flying in its current state. I had setup a pic pro and had difficulty with lift. I'm currently using a 3 cell 730 thunder power lithium polymer and it flys fine. I'm not at the 3d stage but i found that the nmh were to heavy. If you need additional details let me know

I'm using Kokam 1500 packs that are 3 cell and a thunder power 3c 1340 pack, lots of juice when you need it. I think that my radio curves might be part of it. I'll keep trying.
